Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings

Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings

As promised, in one of my recent posts, we’re going to be posting a lot more content. Specifically, recipes we’ve been perfecting for work.

We recently cooked over 300 buffalo chicken wings at work, and I spent a few days absolutely stinking of buffalo sauce. It was worth it though. These wings are delicious and they went down really well!

This is a super easy way to make buffalo chicken wings without having to deep fry them. We had our with sides of veggies and two dips: ranch dip and hot sauce.

You can eat these wings with anything, as a snack or as party food if you’re having friends over. If you don’t like buffalo sauce, you can easily substitute it for BBQ sauce.

If you do decide to go with the BBQ sauce option, put the wings in the oven with no sauce (just the flour) and cover in the BBQ sauce half way through cooking.

Ingredients
  • 10-12 chicken wings
  • 60 grams plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 bottle your favourite hot sauce we used Frank's Buffalo Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • olive oil
Servings: people
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mix together in a bowl the flour, cayenne, salt and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken wing in the flour mixture and place in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan and then mix in the hot sauce.
  5. Oil a large baking tray, cover in foil and then spread a little oil on top of the foil too - this stops the wings sticking.
  6. Take your chicken wings out of the fridge and dip in the hot sauce one by one. Make sure they're fully coated in your sauce!
  7. Place on the tray and bake in oven for 45 minutes, turning half way through.
  8. Serve with your choice of dipping sauces, veggies or chips!
