Pancake day is just round the corner, so I trust that you’re all scouring the internet for the best pancake recipes around. Pancakes are so so versatile, but sometimes they can be a bit of a faff. You just know your first few try’s are going straight in the bin, and who want’s that hassle after work?
There are plenty of places in Brighton you could head to for your pancakes fix and Crépeaffaire has gotta be on your list to check out.
Crêpeaffaire first opened in London, by Founder Daniel, and has since popped up in cities across the UK. Their branch in Brighton opened late 2017 and we popped by to check it out. You can find them in:
Regardless of your preference, you’ll find something you fancy here. They offer freshly cooked crepes, sweet or savoury as well as pastries, waffles and mini pancakes!
Their savoury toppings include Le Goat Deluxe, All Day Breakfast and Mexican Chicken. However, if you have more of a sweet tooth, you can choose from Ferrero Rocher Extravagance, Reece’s Pieces Butter Pie and Apple Crumble and more!
And if you’re in the mood for something a bit stronger at the weekend, you can have a beer or glass of prosecco with your food.
The decor is quite simple throughout the place, with stools and booths, wooden flooring, white brick walls and bright lighting. There’s plenty of room for you to bring the whole family along too!
Food & Drink
We both ordered a milkshake as we were feeling extra decadent on our visit. Josh went for Reece’s Pieces flavour, which came complete with whipped cream and a Reece’s Cup in top, whereas I went for a classic banana milkshake. They have an abundance of flavours, and they change them up regularly.
Crepe-wise, Josh went savoury and I went for a sweet option. Josh had the all day breakfast crepe which came with bacon, egg, tomato, mushroom and cheese and Josh said it was delicious. I was feeling a bit sick that morning, so wanted something a bit less extravagant.
Luckily for me, they had the classic lemon and sugar option which suited me perfectly.
Really good little crepe place, and we’d definitely visit again. Josh has said he will be popping in for lunch at work as he lives just round the corner, and it’s a great little weekend spot for a sweet brunch.
The staff are all lovely and friendly, and the prices are really reasonable so instead of cooking this Pancake Day, head down!
