Cooking Christmas dinner is a daunting task. There’s no denying it. Whether you’re cooking for 4 people, or you’re cooking for the 40 it’s always a little overwhelming.
So much pressure is put on getting the meal just right, making sure everyone’s needs and preferences are catered to. We’ve all seen that Friends Christmas episode where Monica tries to make 5 different types of potatoes and basically implodes? Yeah, like that.
Thankfully, Josh and I haven’t started hosting Christmas yet. That’s a while away yet and we’d like to keep it that way! However, we do like to do a little soiree in the week running up to Christmas for our close friends.
In previous years we’ve done a curry night, with Josh cooking everything from scratch (even the naans!). Last year it was a bit easier and we did buffet style food, so people could just pick at what the wanted. This year however, we’re doing a Christmas dinner.
Thankfully, HelloFresh have made the task a little less daunting by kindly sending us one of their Christmas boxes.
Which means we can avoid rushing round Tesco, fighting someone for the last Turkey (or nut roast in my case) and lugging it all back home. HelloFresh have gone to that trouble for us, packed it up and delivered it to our door.
