Sharing our Favourite Christmas Recipes

Sharing our Favourite Christmas Recipes

I was really struggling to think of a post to write for today’s blogmas instalment. I had a quick read of Northern Blood’s 50 Blogmas ideas post and got the inspiration to share with you our favourite Christmas recipes.

Josh and I love being in the kitchen in the lead up to Christmas. It’s only our second Christmas together but we’re starting to form little traditions. There’s something about the weeks leading up to Christmas that gets us in the mood to bake and cook, whether it’s something we made the year before or a new recipe.

These are the Christmas recipes we have made before or want to try before the big day next weekend!

We were watching Jamie Oliver’s Christmas cook show a couple of weekends ago and this was one of the recipes he showed us how to make. Josh is a big fan of bread and butter pudding and until a couple of months ago, I’d never tried it! We love the Christmas twist of using pannetone instead of bread.

MARY BERRY’S YULE LOG

This is a recipe we’ve made before and the recipe is super easy to follow. We made it on Christmas Eve for a big dinner with a friend, to eat whilst watching all The Office US Christmas episodes. The leftovers made a great Christmas morning breakfast!

THREE FLAVOUR FOCACCIA

This is another Jamie Oliver recipe and another Christmas recipe we have made before. I was recommended this by a colleague last year but was a bit scared at first. I’d never made any sort of bread before giving this a go, but it turned out pretty well. It went down really well on Christmas eve and we had plenty leftover to keep us going over the Christmas period.

So those are three recipes we are definitely going to try and make over the festive period. Time is just passing a little too quickly for our liking!

Do you have any recipes you make every year? Let us know in the comments!

These all sound amazing, cooking something tasty and hearty is such a lovely thing to do at this time of year. The Focaccia looks right up my street! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas 🙂
