This week has been super busy and we’ve started the countdown to Josh’s birthday (3 days!) and our holiday to Mallorca for my mums wedding (18 days!). There’s way too much stuff to do before we go and I haven’t even begun to think about what to do with this blog whilst we’re away. Oh well.
We posted our review of the Delicious Alchemy gluten free baking mixes and Bella tried to get in on the photo taking. We were really surprised by how much we loved these mixes, they just made baking soo much easier!
On Thursday evening we were over the moon to head down to Isaac @ for one of their launch evenings. They’ve just reopened after doing up their kitchen and menu and it was such a special evening, I’m really excited to write about it and tell you guys just how good it was (and how much food we ate!).
Friday night I left Josh at home for dinner and headed out to the new restaurant that’s opened up at the i360 in Brighton. You won’t find the review on here but keep your eyes peeled on the Brighton Girl Magazine site and you’ll see it pop up in the very near future. After a very filling few hours eating a full three courses I came home to find Josh had brought a foot long Subway home for dinner. Boys.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early and jumped on the train to West Chiltington to visit Josh’s Grandad and we got to spend some time with his step mum and half brother too. We went on a 2 hour long dog walk with three big black Labs, got lost twice and were drenched head to toe but it was a nice change to get out in the fresh air first thing.
That evening we ordered a family size bucket from KFC because, did you know Deliveroo deliver KFC now?! We were both in bed by 12pm, super fun youngsters here!
Today has been busier than you’d want a Sunday to be but nice nonetheless. I spent the morning with some of my family having breakfast and a catch up and then Josh and I headed to our new favourite place in Brighton – BeFries.
I’m sure you’ve seen us rave about them already on Twitter but they kindly invited us to go back and do a full review of their entire menu. We ate a LOT of chips & sauces and had a really good chat with the guys who own it, they gave us a Chocomel on the way out as it’s raved about in Belgium and I’m enjoying mine as I write this. Review to come, when we get through the backlog we already have to write, it’s a hard life!
It’s Josh’s birthday on Wednesday so I’ve got a big birthday extravaganza week planned for him, I think I’m more excited than he is!
