I’m a little late writing this today because I’ve had a busy Sunday, which makes a change from lying around in my jimjams watching telly. I’ve just sat down after heading down to The Flour Pot Bakery for breakfast with Sofaya this morning, spending the afternoon with her and Sammy at the Brighton Food Festival and then cleaning the house for the rest of the afternoon. Josh and I have just sat down with The Walking Dead on and we’re having potato gratin for tea which I’m excited for because yum -potatoes and cream.
Remember last week when we mentioned the BBQ Enchiladas we made? Well we finally nailed the recipe, got some half decent photos and will be posting the recipe tomorrow. It’s become one of our favourite meals, its cheap and easy to make and it can be so versatile.
Wednesday we went to an event at Wafflemeister and it was by far one of the best food events we’ve been invited to so far. Everybody was so welcoming and the food was incredible, we’ll be posting a full review later on this week.
The event was good, I met so many lovely bloggers and I won a butt load of stationary in the raffle. Meeting Jemma was amazing, it felt as though I’d known her forever as I’ve been following her blog since I started with ours. The goody bag was incredible, full of amazing brands and I’ve been using everything already!
I kinda regret not staying over in Manchester because travelling 4.5 hours each way made me quite ill but I’m still glad I made the effort to go – more events down south though please!
Keeping up with our breakfast series Josh and I stopped off at Billie’s on Friday morning which is known for their famous breakfast hashes. A full review is coming in the next few weeks, so you’ll have to wait and see if it’s as good as people say!
Friday evening was my mums Hen Party, and it was so lovely to see family I hadn’t seen in years (I literally hadn’t seen my cousin for 5 years) and get together with my sisters for a drink and dance.
Also, shout out to my little sis Chloe (on the left above) for totally bossing her GCSE results! She did better than I did the little cow, but she deserved to because she tried so hard!
We finished the week off with a Grand Thali box from The Chilli Pickle, one of my all time favourite restaurants in Brighton. It just had to be done after such a busy week!
What have you all been up to? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
