7 Days of Food & More… #4

It feels too early to be awake right now. I’m tired. It’s 10.30am and I had about 10 hours sleep last night so I have no reason to be tired, I’m just in one of those bleh moods. This week has been quite good though, so maybe I just need to go back to bed and wake up on the right side of the bed! I’m thinking leftover pizza for breakfast and a few episodes of Hotel Hell will cheer me up though.

Monday evening my bezzie and I went to Food for Friends for dinner and had a pretty good meal, I’ll be posting a review next week so I won’t say too much but watch this space.

Meanwhile, Josh cooked himself some cornflake crusted chicken from Andrew in the Kitchen, I’m kinda jealous that I wasn’t around for it.

Josh had a few days off work this week so he slow cooked a pork loin for 8 hours and we made BBQ pulled pork in brioche buns. Also, did you know Tesco do 4 brioche buns for 89p?! Bargain.

And More…

A couple of weeks ago I was sent a Gin Explorer subscription box to review and I finally got around to testing it out and making some delicious cocktails with the gin and tonics. The post will be going live tomorrow so you can find out more about it.

We spent Friday in Guilford and hung out with Josh’s step mum and brother and did a bit of dog walking which we loved because we’re dying to get a dog. We went for a long walk along the River and then spent the evening drinking wine and playing cards.

The weather on Saturday was amazing, sunny with blue skies, we headed to Josh’s Granddads house to celebrate his marriage to Josh’s now step-nan. We spent the day drinking champagne by the pool and eating delicious food, a perfect Saturday.

We’re spending Sunday chilling out, we’ve got season 1 of Hotel Hell downloaded and there’s no sign of us getting off the sofa any time soon. What are you guys up to today? Let us know in the comments!

  • Sounds like a lovely week, Food for Friends is one of my FAVOURITES places in town, I look forward to your review!
Josh’s step mum’s dog looks identical to our dog Robbie! You should get a dog if you can, they are amazing friends and great company, I wouldn’t be without him.

    • We’re dying to get a dog but we live in a tiny flat at the moment. Our plan is as soon as we get a place with a garden we’re snatching up a springer spaniel!
