Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had fun and exciting weeks, we’re halfway through January now so hopefully the post Christmas depression is wearing off and you’ve settled back into the daily grind.
The Body Coach 90 day SSS plan
On Monday I started my 90 day Shape, Shift & Sustain plan by The Body Coach. I’ve been toying with the idea of having a weekly blog post dedicated to my journey but I think I’ll just give you all a little update in these posts.
For those of you who haven’t heard of it (which is probably very few of you because Joe Wicks seems to be everywhere these days!) you can read a little bit about what the plan involves here.
Josh isn’t doing the plan with me so we’ve been doing different dinners which is a bit weird for us because we love planning what we’re going to make and cooking together, but I’m sure we’ll get used to it!
To be very honest with you, I am struggling with the plan so far. What I was most worried about before starting was the exercise because I haven’t done any real exercise in almost a year and I thought I would just die. I hate cardio. But I’m actually enjoying it and have stuck to it 100%. The same can’t be said about the food. The portions are enormous, I mean, insane. I ate a kilo of spinach in 3 days. I’ve eaten 6 chicken breasts this week. It’s just too much and I get bored of my meal half way through. I’m hoping I’ll adjust and fingers crossed next week I’ll feel happier about the whole thing!
This was one of my lunches… TWO salmon fillets!!
I have also already cheated. On day 6 of 90. I blame Spoons and its ridiculously cheap doubles. Waking up yesterday morning with a monster of a hangover I just couldn’t stomach the thought of having a 3 egg omelette with 150g of spinach, literally, I threw up. So we ordered lunch through Deliveroo and gorged on some delicious fried chicken from H.en in Brighton, Cate recommended it to us and you have to try it!
Things Josh made this week
Josh has been cooking some really delicious dinners whilst I’ve been stuffing myself with greens and meat. Here’s a few pics in case you missed them on IG:
Chocolate mousse, steak with fried kale, chips and mushroom sauce & chicken curry.
Other things that happened this week
I finally finished Making A Murderer and have settled on the idea that he did do it. Have you seen it? Let me know who you think did it in the comments!
We spent a day feeling very sad about Alan Rickmans death and watched Die Hard to remember him. Seriously, he’s such a badass in that film!
We showed y’all how to make fresh pasta, which Josh has been eating all week, in case you missed it you can check it out here.
Today I’m on my way to Belgium with all of my siblings – there are 5 of us so it’s rare we’re all together- I’m hoping the sea is kind to me and its not too rough, I really don’t want to be sick for a second day in a row.
That’s it from us this week, see ya soon for a review of Cates vegan fajitas!
